Filming Fran at Maisies Dad

A thumbnail shot of the range of shots that we took when we were in location to film the bath scenes. This was done using two photography lamps that stood either side of the free standing bath in the centre. We used the diffusers on the lamps to ensure there was not a glare on  the glossy bath.

This is one of the shots that we will use for the opening of the video . By showing the music being turned up on DJ decks it is a good way of presenting the start of the video and the action beginning. Using a DJ deck instead of just a normal stereo makes it more exciting and give the video more of a party feel from the off set , exciting the viewers.  The nail art which the model in this shot is wearing is a good representation of modern day youth and the way which they use cosmetics as a form of expression.

Above are the shots which we took for the bath scene, the walls of the room are not white as we originally planned however the colour of these will be consistent on the colour of the bed sheets which we use for the other in house shots.
The use of the barbie doll in the first video is a prop which will be used more than once in the video , as we initially planned for this to be used as a representation of frances , the main model , by throwing it off the roof. When filming these scenes we decided that it would be a good idea to bring this prop in earlier in the video so that it is not as random and does not confuse the viewer when it appears and has an important role on the roof scene.
Showing the model kissing the rubber ducks and flicking them off the side is a form of parody that she is in the bath , fully clothed , however playing with children toys. She is forced to grow up quickly and take part in explicit actions but is still a child at heart.
The glossy bath in this scene works well with the plastic , glamourised look of our video and we have kept our colour scheme through keeping the model wearing red lipstick and nail varnish . In addition adding extra pops of colour with the rubber ducks and barbie.

  1. This is all good evidence. Make sure you demonstrate how you controlled mise-scene, costume, light and so on.
