These two scenes which we filmed yesterday are to be used at differently points of the video however when having the correct mise en scene and equipment at Lucys house, we utilized our time as effectively as possible to ensure that we met our final deadline and filmed both of these scenes in one session.
Ripping Money
The actions of this scene show the model having a not caring attitude as well as rebellion; a main message we are aiming to convey in our video. We filmed an extra model ripping up £50 notes against a ripped wall, playing on a stereotype that youth today waste money as well as a reference to the lyrics "tearing it apart". We printed the money on both sides to make it look as realistic as possible and filmed it against a brick wall as we though that the red notes would work well with the brick wall background. Choosing to shoot the model wearing a black faux fur coat was a way of representing money which people display but don't actually have as well as fitting in with our colour scheme.
Ripping Tights
This was a scene which we originally planned as a result of initial research however it did not look as good as we originally planned. We filmed this in an outside and in a small amount of time which it was not raining on this day. The weather was very dull and it seems that this has reflected in the scene, it is by no means as fun as we wanted. The clothing which was inspired in similar scenes from our research was no effective as it looked too natural and dull not matching with the plastic feel of our video where synthetic looking clothing should be worn.
